Why Responsible Gambling Matters to jjcom

At jjcom, responsible gambling is not a policy footnote — it is a core part of how we build and operate the Platform. Every Pakistani player who opens an account with us deserves the full benefit of the tools described on this page, and those tools are built to be accessible to everyone, not buried in obscure settings menus.

We know that for most players, betting on PSL finals, ICC knockout matches, football or live casino is a form of entertainment — something that adds excitement to sport they already follow passionately. That is exactly what it should be. But we also know that for some people, gambling can escalate beyond entertainment, and that the signs are not always obvious at first.

jjcom's commitment is to give every player — from Karachi to Peshawar, whether they bet PKR 100 or PKR 10,000 a week — the same high-quality toolkit to stay in control. Deposit limits. Loss limits. Session reminders. Cooling-off periods. And self-exclusion when nothing else is enough.

We also commit to honest communication: we will never send you a marketing message designed to encourage you to increase your stake after a losing session. We will not use countdown timers or artificial urgency to push you into a bet you were not planning to place. And we will always signpost professional support resources for anyone who needs more help than our platform tools can provide.

Pakistan Legal Context: Online gambling may be restricted under the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977, and related Pakistani legislation. jjcom does not claim to be licensed or approved by any Pakistani government authority. Players are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the laws applicable in their jurisdiction. Satisfying the 18+ age requirement does not, by itself, make gambling lawful in Pakistan.
Our Responsible Gambling Principles
  • Gambling is entertainment — never position it as a way to make money or recover losses.
  • Every player has the right to set limits on their own account without needing to contact support.
  • Self-exclusion requests are actioned immediately and cannot be reversed during the exclusion period.
  • We do not send promotional communications that encourage players to chase losses or increase stakes.
  • Age verification is mandatory. We apply KYC checks to ensure only adults 18+ (or higher where required) may play.
  • Our support team is trained to handle responsible-gambling conversations with care and confidentiality.
  • We monitor play patterns and may proactively reach out to players showing potential problem-gambling indicators.

Tools Available on Your Account

All five tools below are self-serviceable from your Account dashboard. You do not need to contact customer support to activate them — though our team is available 24/7 if you prefer to do so through us.

01
Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on the total amount you can deposit into your account. Once the limit is reached, further deposits are blocked until the period resets. Limits take effect immediately. Reductions are instant; increases require a 24-hour cooling-off period before taking effect.

02
Loss Limits

Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on the net losses you are willing to accept. If your net losses reach the defined threshold within the chosen period, betting and casino activity is suspended until the period resets. Loss limits are calculated on net loss — bets placed minus winnings returned.

03
Session Time Reminders

Set a reminder to appear on screen at regular intervals during active play — for example, every 30 or 60 minutes — showing you how long you have been playing and prompting you to review whether you wish to continue. A simple but effective tool for managing time spent on the platform.

04
Cooling-Off Period

Take a break from the platform for a defined period — from 24 hours to several weeks — during which your account is suspended and deposits, bets and login are blocked. Unlike self-exclusion, a cooling-off period can be ended early upon request, subject to a short reflection waiting period.

05
Self-Exclusion

The strongest tool available. Self-exclusion permanently or long-term suspends your account for the duration you choose — minimum 6 months, up to permanent exclusion. During the exclusion period, you cannot log in, deposit, bet or reverse the exclusion. Contact [email protected] to activate immediately.

06
Marketing Opt-Out

Opt out of all promotional communications — bonus offers, deposit incentives, seasonal promotions and re-engagement emails — at any time through your Account settings or by contacting support. Removing marketing contact reduces external triggers that can prompt unplanned gambling sessions.

Understanding Problem Gambling

It Can Affect Anyone

Problem gambling does not discriminate by city, income level or how long you have been playing. It can develop gradually — starting with occasional cricket bets and slowly becoming a daily compulsion that feels impossible to control.

Chasing Losses Is Dangerous

One of the clearest warning signs of problem gambling is placing bigger bets to recover money already lost. This pattern — often called "chasing" — typically leads to larger losses, not recovery, and can escalate quickly during high-stakes events like PSL Finals or ICC knockouts.

The Impact Goes Beyond Finance

Problem gambling affects relationships, mental health and daily functioning — not just bank balances. Family stress in homes across Lahore, Rawalpindi or Islamabad, anxiety, poor sleep and withdrawal from social activities are all recognised consequences of gambling harm.

It Is a Health Issue, Not a Weakness

Problem gambling is recognised internationally as a behavioural health condition. Seeking help is a sign of strength, not failure. The tools on this page and the support resources we signpost exist because recovery is entirely possible with the right assistance.

Early Action Makes a Difference

The earlier you use a protective tool — a deposit limit, a session reminder, a cooling-off period — the easier it is to stay in control. Waiting until the situation is serious makes recovery harder. jjcom's tools are designed to be used proactively, not just as a last resort.

Help Is Available

If you are struggling, talking to someone trained in gambling harm — whether through jjcom support or an independent counselling resource — can make a significant difference. You do not have to manage this alone, and reaching out costs nothing.

Signs Your Gambling May Have Become a Problem

These indicators are not a clinical diagnosis, but they are worth taking seriously. If several of the following apply to your experience, it is worth using one of the tools above or speaking to a support professional.

  • You gamble with money set aside for essential expenses — rent, food, bills or family needs.
  • You feel restless, irritable or anxious when you are not gambling or when you try to cut down.
  • You have tried to reduce or stop gambling before but found yourself returning shortly after.
  • You place larger or more frequent bets to get the same level of excitement as before.
  • You have hidden your gambling activity from family members or close friends.
  • You continue betting even when you know you cannot afford the losses.
  • You rely on gambling as a way to escape stress, anxiety, boredom or low mood.
  • You have borrowed money — from friends, family or credit — to fund gambling sessions.
  • You feel a strong urge to chase recent losses immediately after a bad session.

How to Self-Exclude on jjcom

Self-exclusion is the strongest account protection tool we offer. It is permanent for the duration chosen and cannot be reversed during the exclusion period. Here is how to activate it:

1
Log In to Your Account

Access your account through jjcom.cam on any device. If you are unable to log in, our support team can initiate the exclusion on your behalf using your registered email address.

2
Go to Account Settings & Player Safety

Navigate to the Responsible Gambling or Player Safety section of your Account dashboard. You will find all five tools listed here, including the self-exclusion option.

3
Choose Your Exclusion Period

Select a minimum 6-month exclusion, 1-year exclusion, 5-year exclusion or a permanent exclusion. Consider choosing a longer period — it is easier to extend than to lift early.

4
Confirm and Take Effect

Confirm your choice. Self-exclusion takes effect immediately. Your account will be suspended, deposits blocked and you will be removed from all marketing communications. The decision cannot be reversed during the period you selected.

5
Need Help? Contact Support Directly

If you prefer not to go through the dashboard, email [email protected] with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request" and your registered email address. We will action it without delay, 24 hours a day.

Self-Exclusion is Irreversible During the Chosen Period

Once activated, self-exclusion cannot be lifted until the exclusion period expires. This is by design — it ensures the tool is effective when you need it most. Please choose your duration carefully. After your exclusion period ends, a mandatory re-verification and cooling-off process applies before account access can resume.

Quick Self-Check: Is Your Gambling Under Control?

Read through the following questions honestly. These are not a clinical diagnostic tool, but they are drawn from widely used problem-gambling screening frameworks. If you answer "yes" to two or more questions, we encourage you to set a deposit limit or cooling-off period today, and to consider speaking to a support professional.

Q1 Have you ever spent more money or time gambling than you originally planned for a session?
Q2 Have you gambled to escape feelings of stress, anxiety, depression or boredom?
Q3 Have you tried to win back money you lost by placing more bets — and found yourself losing more?
Q4 Have you hidden the fact that you were gambling, or the amount you have lost, from people close to you?
Q5 Have you neglected work, family responsibilities or personal health because of gambling?
Q6 Have you borrowed money or sold something in order to fund gambling?
Q7 Have you felt that you needed to gamble with larger amounts to feel the same level of excitement as before?
Q8 Have you made multiple unsuccessful attempts to reduce, control or stop your gambling?

What to do next: If two or more answers feel familiar, the most useful immediate action is to set a deposit limit in your Account dashboard right now — it takes under two minutes and provides immediate protection. For a more serious concern, activate a self-exclusion or contact support at [email protected].

Protecting Minors — 18+ Only

jjcom's Platform is strictly for adults aged 18 and above — or the higher minimum age required by the operator's licence jurisdiction. We enforce age-gating at registration and maintain the right to request documentary proof of age at any point in the Account lifecycle, including before processing withdrawals.

During the KYC verification process, all players are required to provide a valid government-issued identity document — such as a Pakistani National Identity Card (CNIC), passport or driving licence — that confirms their date of birth. Accounts where the registered date of birth suggests the holder is below the minimum age are suspended immediately pending verification, and permanently closed if a minor is confirmed.

If you share your device with family members — particularly younger siblings or children at home in Karachi, Lahore or elsewhere — we strongly recommend:

  • Logging out of your account when you are not actively using it;
  • Enabling device-level parental controls or content filters where available;
  • Keeping your account credentials private and never sharing your login details; and
  • Using a separate browser profile for your jjcom account to prevent autofill from exposing credentials.
🔞

18+ Only

Or the higher minimum age required by the operator's licence jurisdiction. Underage gambling is prohibited and will result in immediate permanent account closure and forfeiture of all funds.

Satisfying the 18+ age requirement does not, by itself, make gambling lawful in Pakistan. Players accessing from Pakistan must independently verify that their use of the Platform complies with applicable Pakistani law, including the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977.

10 Habits of Responsible Gambling

  • Set a budget before you start. Decide how much you are willing to spend — and treat it as the cost of entertainment, not an investment. Never bet money you cannot afford to lose.
  • Use the deposit limit tool. If your session budget is PKR 2,000, set a daily deposit limit of PKR 2,000. That way the platform enforces the limit even when willpower is under pressure.
  • Take regular breaks. Session time reminders are there for a reason. Stand up, move around, and check in with yourself — are you still enjoying this, or are you chasing something?
  • Expect to lose. The house edge and book margin mean that, over time, the majority of players lose more than they win. This is mathematical reality. Any session where you come out ahead is a positive outcome, not a signal to keep going.
  • Never chase losses. Placing a bigger bet to recover a loss is one of the fastest routes to serious financial harm. Accept the loss, close the session and return another time — or not at all.
  • Balance gambling with other activities. Cricket betting during PSL season is more fun when it is one of many leisure activities, not the primary one. Maintain interests that do not involve betting.
  • Never gamble under stress or substance influence. Making betting decisions when emotionally distressed, tired, or after alcohol usually leads to poor choices and regret. If the day has been rough, log out.
  • Keep gambling private from children. If you have younger family members at home, ensure they cannot access the Platform. Log out after sessions and do not discuss gambling in terms that glamorise it.
  • Review your activity regularly. Check your transaction history monthly. If the figures are larger than you expected, that is a signal — not something to ignore.
  • Ask for help early. If a friend or family member raises concern about your gambling, take it seriously. They may be seeing something from the outside that is hard to notice from within.
Professional Support Resources

If you believe your gambling has become harmful, we encourage you to seek support from a qualified professional. The following types of resources are typically available in the operator's licence jurisdiction and internationally:

  • Gambling counselling services — licensed therapists and counsellors specialising in behavioural health and gambling addiction. Available in-person and remotely.
  • National and international helplines — many licence jurisdictions operate dedicated problem-gambling helplines staffed by trained counsellors, available 24/7 in multiple languages.
  • Gamblers Anonymous — an internationally recognised peer-support organisation for people with gambling problems, operating support groups in many countries and online.
  • GamCare — a leading UK-based organisation providing information, advice, support and treatment for anyone affected by problem gambling, including online resources.
  • BeGambleAware — a UK-based charitable organisation offering free, confidential support and guidance resources for problem gamblers and their families.

These organisations are listed for informational context only. jjcom does not have a formal partnership with any of these bodies and cannot verify their current availability or service quality in Pakistan specifically. If you are in Pakistan, a general-practice doctor or licensed mental health professional is also a valid first point of contact for gambling-related behavioural health concerns.

Play on Your Terms — Stay in Control
